Our wonderful friend and fantastic photographer Profoundly Superficial has a new web site. Al did all the hard techie work and I did the design/logo. The wonderful photographs are all down to the extremely talented Profoundly Superficial though. She’s not just a photographer either, she’s a traveler, translator, cat lover, filmmaker, Polranny Pirate and all round glamour-puss!
Her blog can be found here.

Magic Monday!

We’ve uploaded a new version of the site today. List items (except main Lifelist) can now be numbered. Text can be made bold, italicised and turned into a link.
We’ve done lots of testing of the new features but if you have any difficulty or any questions or if there is anything else you would like to see, then please let us know.

Trivialists & Piclist update

September 1st, 2009 No comments

Just uploaded the latest updates to There are an awful lot of minor detail changes to improve the general operation of the site, but the headline features are the new Trivialists and a change to the way Piclists are created and updated.

Trivialists are, erm, well, lists of trivia. They are fixed lists, designed to provide interesting and/or useful information. We hope that in time they will build up to be a truly massive collection of facts presented in an easily digestible form. Do let us know what you’d like to see included as a Trivialist.

When you upload pictures to a Piclist you now get some visual feedback on the progress of the upload. You can even see exactly how much is being uploaded, how quickly and how much longer it should take. More to the point, at least you now know something is happening and any errors should be reported more clearly.

As always, let us know if you have any comments or suggestions.

Changes to Piclists

Al’s been working on making Piclists better. It should be much easier to upload pictures now. See what you think. As always, feedback is appreciated.

New stuff

April 7th, 2009 3 comments

Al has been programming away as fast as his little fingers can type. Some of the additions that I’ve been whining about for some time are ready to go. We’ve uploaded a new version of our site that includes some new features.

Sometimes when looking at a list I want to comment on a list item but I can’t say Me2! because I haven’t done the thing myself – maybe I just like what the Lifelister to say or I admire their achievement. I’ve often wanted to to congratulate someone when they achieve something on a Todolist or a Bucketlist. Now we can honour list items by awarding Medals. You can give a Medal in the same way you give a Me2!

Some users create really inspirational lists. Now we can award a whole list a Gold Star if we like it. When looking at a list, you will notice the option to award a Gold Star over to the right of a list title, near where you can choose to ‘Favourite’ a list.

You’ll notice there’s lots of new functionality on your home page too. You can now delete Me2!s, Medals, or Gold Stars that you have given. And you now have a record of the awards you have given.

Enjoy the new features and please do let us know if you notice any problems.

Share site update

February 26th, 2009 1 comment

Last night we updated with a good number of small changes to the user interface – the look & feel – and a large amount of ‘re-plumbing under the hood’. From the visitor’s perspective the changes are not massive but, even so, added together I hope you will agree they make the whole site feel more neat & tidy.

The current economic difficulties around the world may lower the spirits a bit, so there’s no better time to create Lifelists® and think about the good things in life!

As ever, if you have any problems with please let us know.

Life & Lifelists

Al has some news about our broken strimmer.

Your new “home” page

February 5th, 2008 No comments

You have probably noticed that we’ve made some changes to the “my home” tab. We’ve added a section where you can see at a glance your ‘notifications’, Lifelists, friends, messages, me2!s and favourites.

Each heading includes a small triangle which, when clicked, ‘turns down’ and reveals more information: lists of your Lifelists, friends, new messages, me2!s on your Lifelists and your favourite Lifelists. Most of this information is ‘clickable’ giving you shortcuts to Lifelists, friends etc.

Notifications tell you about things happening on the system that are relevant to you, such as when someone edits one of the favourites that you are watching, or when someone sends you a message or gives you a me2!

Watch your favourites

February 5th, 2008 No comments

Now you can ‘watch’ your favourites so that when they change you will receive a notification on your “my home” page.

On the “my favourites” tab you will see a grey eyeball to the left of each of your favourite Lifelists. Clicking on the eyeball turns it black and you will then receive a “notification” on your “my home” page whenever the owner changes the list.
