Jane,
I am surprised that a passing tourist should be considered sinister or disturbing, but then I don’t live in your neck of the woods. However, what intrigued me about the photo (the zoom) was the vision of Clare Island looming in the background with the lighthouse clearly visible. Took me back 40 years when I used to spend my summers in the lighthouse, whitewashing and painting and hanging out. One of the most beautiful places on earth.
I would gladly put up with the odd fellow smoking a fag at the bottom of the garden to have a view like this!

Not eaten yet but supposed to be indistinguishable. I feel a bit squeamish about it tbh. I’m sure once we’ve eaten the first one it’ll be fine.

No. No idea. I suspect it must have been a tourist. You know what the local men are like. They rarely wear a waterproof and if they do they wouldn’t put the hood up! They are so macho
